Memberships
MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Membership is open to anyone who identifies with the mission of MAMA, as found on our website. The following levels of membership are outlined below:
A. Active – any person who pursues their musical talents as a vocation or a avocation and who will uphold the objectives of the Association, a person who accepts active membership agrees to regularly attend meetings, pay dues in a timely fashion and fully participate in the ongoing programs and activities of the Association.
B.Patron of the Arts – any person who does not pursue music as a vocation but who is interested in advancing the arts through this organization; these persons agree to regularly attend and/or participate in the meetings and functions of the Association, and pay dues in a timely fashion.
C. Student – any person who is registered in an undergraduate or graduate school in the Metropolitan Atlanta area is eligible for membership in M.A.M.A. The student member is encouraged to attend and/or participate in the meetings and pay dues in a timely fashion.
D. Honorary – Upon the recommendation of the Membership Committee, the statue of Honorary Member may be conferred upon as individual after a majority vote of approval is cast by the active members of M.A.M.A.
E. Benefactor – any person who wishes to support the Association financially by making a contribution at least once per fiscal year. Benefactors are encouraged to attend and/or participate in the meetings and functions of the Association.
F. Inactive – any person who had attained Active membership status and, due to illness, or any other reason acceptable by the membership, can no longer perform the duties of an active member. Dues are still expected from persons in this category.
